After years of dreaming of opening a Bed and Breakfast and living in the Texas Hill Country, we are excited to announce that the Inn at Sunset Mill Ranch just minutes from Wimberley, TX is open for business!

When traveling on vacations in our early years of marriage we began staying in Bed and Breakfasts. We were so impressed by the Innkeepers and those retreats, that we knew some day we wanted to create a special place to share the best of our experiences with our own guests!

As much as possible, while living and working near Houston for more than 20 years, we would often drive west to the Texas Hill Country and dream of someday living here. A few years ago, we bought 25 acres just outside of Wimberley and soon after built a cabin (now Winters Mill Cabin) where we stayed during our weekend excursions. We just completed construction of the Carriage House (now housing Sunset Cottage and the Mill Room) and the main lodge house where guests enjoy beautiful views and delicious farm-to-table breakfasts. Each building and room have been luxuriously decorated with comfortable beds and linens, as well as antiques and beautiful furnishings collected over time, with the hope that guests will feel instantly relaxed.

We look forward to welcoming guests to get away to the country with plenty of room to take walks, lounge and relax, or observe the wildlife and cattle (yes, we’re actually a ranch!) gathering at our spring-fed creek. After spending a fun day in Wimberley or one of the nearby towns, we recommend that you return to the Inn in time to view the amazing sunset from a comfortable rocker on one of our covered porches. After dark you can view the stars from the porch, or from one of the hot tubs or Adirondack chairs surrounding the fire-pit.

We’ve painstakingly designed and constructed our Inn to offer the finest in accommodations and Hill Country charm in an atmosphere that is relaxing and inspiring.  Come and let us show you Texas Hill Country hospitality at its best!
