About the Inn

Inn at Sunset Mill Ranch is a resort-style B&B located in the heart of the Texas Hill Country, just minutes from downtown Wimberley, and halfway between Austin and San Antonio. The newly built inn is comprised of multiple buildings (the main lodge, barn, carriage house and cabin) situated on 25 acres of rolling hills, majestic oaks, walking trails, peaceful sitting areas, and a spring-fed creek.

While the inn is new and has lavish amenities, the cedar and stone buildings were designed as if they had been built decades ago. The rustically elegant rooms are furnished and decorated with leather, reproductions, antiques, and beautiful architectural pieces lovingly collected and specifically selected over the years to help guests feel as if they have stepped back in time. The luxurious bedding, mattresses and linens will further assure a restful and relaxing retreat.

In the morning, enjoy a farm-to-table home-cooked breakfast in the large breakfast room of the lodge with amazing views and fireplace, or dine outside on the attached deck. Both areas have individual and group tables. In the afternoons and evenings, sit back and enjoy the breathtaking views and sunsets on one of the many porches or decks with a glass of your favorite beverage along with various sweet/savory treats. Experience the stars at night from Adirondack chairs surrounding the firepits, or from your own porches or steaming hot tubs. We offer to-go picnic lunches if you decide to take a walk around the property or take a driving tour of the hill and wine country. Or we can share recommendations for local restaurants and numerous outdoor activities.

General Policies

Inn at Sunset Mill Ranch is a non-smoking facility.
Check-in is 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm. (Please let us know if you require a late check-in).
Check-out is 12 noon.
We accept children 12 years of age and older.
We accept pets in the Winters Mill Cabin only – maximum of two less than 25 pounds. There is a $25 fee, per pet, per night. Please advise in advance if you will be traveling with your pet(s).

Sunset Mill Ranch does not allow open carry firearms on our property.
Reservations on weekends are available at a two-night minimum. There is a three-night minimum stay on holiday weekends.
Included with each night’s stay is a home-made, farm-to-table breakfast. Please be sure to share any dietary restrictions or allergies in advance.
Gift certificates from Sunset Mill Ranch are a wonderful way to remember special occasions. Gift certificates can be purchased in any amount and can be used throughout the year.
Celebrating a birthday or anniversary? Let us know if you need flowers, candy, wine, dinner reservations, and we would be happy to assist you in ensuring that your celebration is special. Arrangements can also be made for spa services inside your room or at a local facility.

Weekend Policy:

Reservations on weekends are available at a two-night minimum.
Reservations on Holiday weekends are available at a three-night minimum.
Call us at 512-800-2183 to inquire if a one-night reservation could be made available on weekends.

Cancellation Policy:

For reservations made 30 days or more from the date of arrival, your credit card will be charged a deposit for one room night plus tax at the time you make the reservation. Any discounts, gift certificates, or specials will be applied once the deposit is received. The remaining reservation balance will be charged to your credit card 30 days prior to the day of arrival.
For reservations made within 30 days of the day of arrival, the full amount of the reservation will be charged to your credit card at the time you make the reservation.
Cancellations made 14 days or more from the date of arrival will be fully refunded less a $100 fee per room reserved.
Cancellations made within 14 days of arrival will be issued a gift certificate which can be used by you, a friend, or a family member for another stay at our facility within a two-year period.
All other services and fees will be payable at the time of check out.
Guests who choose to shorten their stay while in residence at our bed and breakfast are responsible for the entire amount of the reservation.
Failure to arrive on the reservation date will result in forfeiture of the deposit, and a gift certificate for another stay at our facility will be issued for the remaining amount of the stay.
