Can you believe it is already November and we’ll be celebrating Thanksgiving very soon!? We are loving the cool mornings and evenings, spending more time with friends outdoors, and getting ready for the holidays.
This month as we celebrate Veteran’s Day, we hope all of you current and former military members and your families know how much we appreciate your dedication and the sacrifices you have made for our great Country! God bless you!
This time of year is always a special time to give thanks and reflect on all our blessings and the people that make our lives so rich. This Thanksgiving is extra special to us, as it also falls on our Wedding Anniversary! I love Lynn’s big heart, strong faith and character and his amazing sense of humor. I am thankful for all the sweet memories over the years and that together we have prayed, worked hard, learned much, shared lots of laughs as well as some tears, persevered and dreamed big. We are also thankful for our family and friends, for our beautiful Inn, and for all of you dear friends that come and stay at our little slice of heaven here in Wimberley, Texas.
Thank you for helping us make the Inn at Sunset Mill Ranch a dream come true and a peaceful place for guests to celebrate special occasions, take a restful retreat or romantic getaway, and make some extra special memories!
The fall is a beautiful time to get married here in the Texas Hill Country, and Wimberley is famous for and has a plethora of beautiful wedding and event venues. Guests often ask about hosting weddings here in our big cedar barn overlooking the beautiful valley below. We don’t accommodate the actual weddings, but we always enjoy hosting the family and friends of the bride and groom here at the Inn. In fact, this past weekend we just hosted a beautiful couple along with their sweet families as they celebrated their wedding. Kathleen and Joseph chose one of our favorite venues just down the road from us at the beautiful old Fischer Dance Hall.
Because we receive lots of requests about hosting weddings, we recently attended a Venue Crawl here in Wimberley where we visited several of the local wedding and event centers. There are so many beautiful settings to choose from here in the Texas Hill Country, but some of our favorites from that tour included Old Glory Ranch, Videre Estate, and Inspiring Oaks, all of which are just a few minutes from the Inn.
While we don’t host weddings here at the Inn, several guests have gotten engaged while visiting. We are so happy for our sweet niece, Lexi, and her boyfriend, Noah, who just got engaged. He worked hard to surprise her with a beautiful picnic in the perfect setting where he could ‘pop the question.’
