Fall is a favorite time of year here in the Texas Hill Country.
We are especially enjoying this season of cooler temperatures after the long, hot, dry summer. We are finally getting good rain and the rivers and streams are flowing and beautiful again.
We are planting flowers, decorating for fall, taking walks around the property, and relaxing on the porch, watching and taking pictures of our beautiful sunsets, as well as the wildlife and cows grazing on the green fields.
As Thanksgiving approaches, we reflect on all our blessings. My greatest blessing is being married to my high school sweetheart and best friend. Lynn and I will be celebrating our anniversary later this month. He keeps me laughing and makes sure I take breaks every day to enjoy time with him and our sweet dog, Maggie.
After many years of dreaming, planning, and building we opened the B&B in the summer of 2021. And what an amazing two years it has been! We opened with the Winters Mill Cabin and three private king rooms in the Carriage House. We have greeted, hosted, and served breakfast to so many amazing visitors. We loved greeting old friends, and getting to know many new guests, making many new lifelong friendships.
We are grateful to live “where the stars at night are big and bright”, where the sunsets are always magnificent, and a short drive into Wimberley provides great shopping, music, arts and restaurants. Actually, no matter which direction you go, there are so many beautiful drives, vineyards, and quaint venues to experience!
It’s also been a busy year at the Inn. We’ve spent several months completing a new large luxury guest room – the Granary Room is now available for our guests to enjoy.
